I was excited to be considered faculty at this year’s WriteOnCon online writing conference, and I’d love to share the post I wrote here.
I wrote a post called “Magical Realism in YA: Writing the Familiar with a Fantastical Twist,” which was billed as what’s different in writing magical realism as opposed to paranormal or fantasy. I hope I did the topic justice!
You can read it here.
Even though the fabulous online conference is over, the best part about WriteOnCon is that you can access all the talks and blogs shared by editors, agents, and authors for months afterward. I encourage you to do so if you haven’t already!
And thank you, WriteOnCon, for asking me to be a part of this year’s faculty.
