Away at Yaddo

Just a warning about how I might be difficult to reach for a short time: I’ll soon be leaving New York City to spend a month at the artists colony Yaddo in Saratoga Springs, New York. I have two new projects in the works—what I hope will be the second book on my contract with Dutton, and a new and exciting tween novel… and who knows where it could end up!

If you come across this website before May 3, 2010, and are trying to reach me, I apologize if I am slow in responding to email. I don’t expect to be online very much during my time away. Professional inquiries that need an immediate answer can go to my agent, the wonderful Michael Bourret, who will know all the top-secret ways of contacting me. You’ll find his info here. But hopefully everything can wait for when I am back to being regularly online May 3!

If you’re curious about writers colonies, check out the post “All About Writers Colonies” on my blog, featuring quotes from different writers on their experiences staying at colonies all over the country.

Hope you have a happy and inspiring April! I plan to!
