I’m back from my first-ever residency at Yaddo—four exhilarating weeks spent upstate in Saratoga Springs, writing and also connecting with the talented other artists and writers in residence.
Just a warning about how I might be difficult to reach for a short time: I’ll soon be leaving New York City to spend a month at the artists colony Yaddo in Saratoga Springs, New York.
I’m excited to reveal the news about next novel, my YA debut! IMAGINARY GIRLS is the story of two sisters, their strong bond, and the dead body that threatens to break it. It’s due out from Dutton in hardcover tentatively in Summer 2011 and a second YA novel will follow a year later.
Thank you to the Kingston, NY, Barnes & Noble for hosting my Dani Noir reading yesterday—even with the weather!
I’ll be on the local Kingston, New York, radio station WKNY this Friday, February 26, at 8:45 a.m. talking about DANI NOIR and whatever else may come up—and you can listen live online on the radio station’s website; just click “Listen Live.”
For tweens and readers and friends living in the Hudson Valley: I’ll be reading from Dani Noir at the Barnes & Noble in Kingston, NY, on Saturday, February 27, at 2pm. There will also be a Q&A after. Hope you can make it!
You’ll find a new interview of me up on Buzzine.com. It’s all about DANI NOIR, what it is about the Hudson Valley that inspires my author’s imagination, what’s so healing about the alternate reality of the movies, and more.
There are two new interviews up of me—find out more in this post on the DANI NOIR book website. I’m especially excited to be a part of the Winter Blog Blast Tour 2009… be sure to check out the full schedule (and look at all the great writers involved!).
