There’s a new venue to publish YA short stories, a project of my heart! Together with Emily X.R. Pan, we created FORESHADOW: A Serial YA Anthology and we’ve launched our debut issue and a fundraiser to pay all our contributors!
FORESHADOW is a new online publication that will publish three stellar YA short stories a month for all of 2019. To give readers a taste of what they have in store, we’ve launched Issue Zero, our debut to the world, featuring short stories by Dhonielle Clayton, Samantha Mabry, and a new never-before-published voice Nora Elghazzawi whose story was selected to be our very first featured New Voice by Nicola Yoon. Our mission is to highlight marginalized writers and showcase emerging authors—and we have so many more amazing stories and authors coming, just you wait for 2019!
In the meantime, in order to make sure we can pay every writer for their work, we’ve launched a crowdfunding campaign via Indiegogo, with awesome perks like cool FORESHADOW swag, phone calls with editors and agents, critiques and consultations and Skype visits and more.
Emily and I were recently featured in Publishers Weekly, talking all about our ambitious project! You can read all about our plans for FORESHADOW: A Serial YA Anthology, and hopefully get as excited as we are about what’s to come.
And don’t forget: Our Indiegogo campaign is now live, and though we quickly hit our minimum goal to make the project happen, we’re now fundraising to
Donate to help us if you can!
