Seven Stars for THE WALLS AROUND US

Seven stars! The Walls Around Us has been collecting some incredible reviews and I have to share that this week it just got its seventh (7!) starred review, this time from the Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books

Here’s a glimpse of what BCCB said in their R* review in their June 2015 issue:

“As Amber’s and Violet’s narrations alternate, it becomes clear that something strange and supernatural happened—or is happening—at Aurora Hills that’s bringing the two stories together, and that there’s more to the terrible event three years ago than Violet’s admitting. Suma craftily sets the two stories against one another, moving between Violet’s fiercely grounded account and Amber’s hauntingly destabilized one, enticing readers to figure out how the pieces go together; it’s clear right from the opening that something is off-kilter at Aurora Hills, so the uncertainty is gratifyingly disturbing.”

An abstract of the full review can be found here.

Here are snippets of all seven of the starred reviews in one place… I AM STUNNED AND AMAZED.
