I was so very honored to be a guest on Sara Zarr’s “This Creative Life” podcast, where we talked about writing for yourself again, taking risks in your publishing career, and being true to yourself as an author.

Great news! 17 & Gone was named one of the Bank Street Best Children’s Books of the Year by the Children’s Book Committee at the Bank Street College of Education.  

The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) has announced its list of 2014 Outstanding Books for the College Bound and Lifelong Learners, which is released only every five years, and I was thrilled to find not one but TWO of my novels on the list!

Earlier this month, you could find me high up in the Santa Cruz mountains of Northern California, not so far from San Francisco, at a beautiful artists’ sanctuary called the Djerassi Resident Artists Program.

I will have a short story in an upcoming YA horror anthology called Slasher Girls & Monster Boys—with an incredible collection of authors! So excited!

Now that I’m back from an insanely productive two-week residency at the MacDowell Colony last month, I’ll tell you what’s coming next with me:
